About Me

Hi,  I'm Rachel.

I'm a 22 year old Elite BMX racer from Perth, Western Australia. I have been racing BMX for over 15 years and I am the current Elite Women State Champion, Australian National Series Champion, I am ranked 3rd in Australia as well as being a 3x National finalist, 3x State Champion and World Championship Semi-Finalist.

I have been a part of the BMXWA High Performance Squad for 6 consecutive years now and was a part of the Athlete Development squad for a number of years prior. During my time on the squad I have represented both WA and Australia at numerous State, National and International level competitions & I am currently the only elite women on the WA State Squad.

I have set my sporting goals towards representing Australia at the 2020 BMX World Championships and the 2020 Olympic Games & I am training full time to be able to reach these goals.

Aside from my own racing and training I am a qualified Beginner BMX Coach & coach up and coming riders weekly at my local club, Southside BMX Club, as well as run numerous school holiday coaching clinics. I love coaching and really enjoy imparting my BMX knowledge to the future of the sport and seeing & facilitating the growth and development of my riders.

I graduated from Murdoch University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Animal Health and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed my studies and still plan to work in the field eventually, my focus for now is on BMX.

I have always loved all things creative, and for a while I have been searching for a platform to express all of my passions. Everything from photography, fashion, design and styling, cooking and recipe creation, to all things BMX. Along with my long standing passion for creative writing, this blog seemed like the perfect place for me to put all of my ideas from out of my head and into the universe.

These many creative aspects are all intertwined with my main focus of BMX racing, which I am also very excited to share here on this blog, as well as on my youtube channel

By this point you are probably wondering how one person is interested in such a broad range of things, and honestly, me too. It isn't my intention to attract readers with all the same interests, but rather people who are interested in aspects of this blog. Whether you are here for the photos, recipes, coaching info or BMX diaries, thanks for coming & I hope you stick around.

Love
Rach x
